Manual level measurement still dominate in the power companies. But given what labor and travel costs, so it is natural to seek other solutions.
Automatic regulation in several ways
The new level measurement equipment from TMS Engineering is interesting, both technically and economically. The system consists of base and remote stations which communicate by radio. The base station can support up to eight remote stations. The transmitter has a range of about 10 km in normal terrain. The remote station can receive and transmit signals on, which makes it possible to communicate also with level meter at a large distance from the base station.
The remote station has 2 + 2 analog inputs / outputs as well as 4 + 4 digital inputs / outputs. This makes it possible for example to remotely control the pond control equipment from the base station. The remote station can also be programmed to operate as a local, independent system.
